Google has unveiled new features with the June Android Drop, enhancing its Quick Share functionality to include compatibility with a range of devices. Supported models now feature offerings from Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Vivo, and Honor.
Additionally, the company is rolling out an AI-driven “Book insights” feature in Google Play Books, allowing users to engage in discussions about their reading material. This capability will initially be available for select English titles, many of which are free to access.
For users under 13, the Personal Safety app will soon introduce tools for managing medical information and emergency contacts on lock screens. The app will also feature Car Crash Detection, which automatically alerts emergency services. Furthermore, the Google Photos Wardrobe feature will begin its rollout next week for eligible users in the US, India, and Brazil, providing a virtual catalog of clothing.
Other updates include the Circle to Search feature for Android 14+ devices, which helps users identify every item in an outfit, and new combinations in the Emoji Kitchen.
