A strategic partnership between HERE Technologies and KOTEI has been established to innovate AI-driven navigation solutions tailored for the software-defined vehicle (SDV) landscape. Announced during the 2026 Auto China event in Beijing, this collaboration aims to enhance navigation systems for automotive manufacturers globally, making them more responsive to driver intent.
The integration combines HERE’s cutting-edge AI-powered live map technology with KOTEI’s automotive software expertise. By embedding artificial intelligence into navigation frameworks, KOTEI plans to refine search functionalities and merge HERE’s extensive database of points of interest across over 200 countries. This will enable the navigation systems to adapt to individual driving habits, improving the overall user experience.
In addition to advancing navigation, the partnership will explore various elements within the SDV ecosystem, such as smart cockpits and intelligent driving systems. The objective is to expedite the creation of scalable, cloud-connected platforms that utilize AI enhancements. This collaboration builds on previous successes, including KOTEI's navigation solutions for a major Chinese automaker, which are currently being implemented in multiple vehicles, showcasing the tangible benefits of their alliance.
