CodeIntegrity, a startup focused on enhancing security for AI applications, has secured a seed funding round of $5 million. This investment aims to develop solutions that protect against vulnerabilities inherent in agentic AI systems.
Founded by Steven Jung and Abi Raghuram, the San Francisco-based company gained attention for exposing risks related to AI models, notably compromising the app Notion in under four hours last year. Raghuram emphasized the urgency for companies deploying AI agents, stating that traditional security measures are inadequate for the non-deterministic nature of these technologies.
To address security challenges, CodeIntegrity plans to implement a runtime control layer, acting as a security measure that enforces strict rules on AI behavior. This approach aims to limit the access of AI agents to sensitive enterprise data, enhancing safety in automated operations.
Jung and Raghuram, who initially met at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, founded the company in May 2024 after reuniting. They previously participated in Antler’s startup residency program in New York later that same year.
