With an impressive total of $155 million raised in its Series C round, XBOW has solidified its status as a unicorn in the Seattle startup ecosystem. The autonomous cybersecurity firm, founded by Oege de Moor, known for his work on GitHub Copilot, attracted an additional $35 million from prominent investors including NVIDIA, Accenture, and Samsung.
Although XBOW is officially based in Seattle, its team operates as a remote-first organization with over 250 employees spread across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. The company’s headquarters is merely a mailbox located within a coworking space in Pioneer Square, highlighting the evolving definition of corporate presence in the era of remote work. De Moor resides in Malta, and the company has expressed interest in potentially establishing a more permanent base in Seattle as it grows.
This funding round adds to Seattle's venture capital totals, with XBOW’s significant contributions included in the region's metrics. The startup's initial Series C investment of $120 million was already noted in Seattle's Q1 2026 figures, contributing to an impressive total of $1.5 billion raised across 69 deals during that period.
