Amperity has announced a leadership transition, reinstating its co-founders, Derek Slager and Kabir Shahani, as co-CEOs. This change comes as the Seattle-based company aims to leverage the rising demand for AI-driven customer data solutions.
Less than two years following the appointment of former Salesforce executive Tony Alika Owens as CEO, Amperity confirmed that Owens’ exit was a planned and mutual decision, with the company expressing gratitude for his contributions.
As part of the restructuring, longtime CFO Amy Kelleran Pelly will take on the role of president while maintaining her CFO responsibilities. Shahani, who previously stepped down as CEO in 2022 for personal reasons, is also known for co-founding Seattle marketing tech startup Adora.
In their announcements, Slager and Shahani emphasized their commitment to guiding Amperity through a transformative phase driven by advancements in artificial intelligence and customer data management.
