AI House, formerly known as AI2 Incubator, has officially rebranded, reflecting its evolution as a community-centric organization focused on artificial intelligence development in Seattle. The transition marks the end of its previous association with the Allen Institute for AI, originally founded in 2014 by Paul Allen, Microsoft co-founder.
Now located at Pier 70 on the Seattle waterfront, AI House serves as a hub for over 20,000 individuals involved in AI, including founders, engineers, and investors, who participated in its events and programming in its inaugural year. With a total area of 108,000 square feet, the facility supports various activities aimed at fostering innovation and collaboration.
In conjunction with the rebranding, AI House has appointed Sri Chandrasekar as a managing director. Previously affiliated with Point72 Ventures, Chandrasekar is expected to enhance the community-building aspect of AI House, which he has been a part of through investments in its portfolio companies.
Jacob Colker, co-founder of the incubator, noted the organization's significant growth and its commitment to community-driven entrepreneurship as pivotal in shaping the new brand identity.
