Akamai Technologies has announced plans to acquire thousands of NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, strengthening its cloud infrastructure for artificial intelligence (AI) inference workloads. The acquisition comes as Akamai, a $14.2 billion firm, reported a 26% rise in stock value over the past six months.
On March 2, Morgan Stanley analyst Joseph Moore reaffirmed an Overweight rating for NVIDIA Corporation, setting a price target of $260. This marks a shift in Morgan Stanley’s strategy, as NVIDIA was previously overlooked in favor of other semiconductor stocks. Moore described NVIDIA's current trading level as a favorable entry point, highlighting its strong position in the AI chip market.
NVIDIA's portfolio includes GeForce GPUs for gaming and advanced data center solutions like the NVIDIA A100 and H100, designed for high-performance computing. As the demand for AI capabilities increases, investors are also advised to explore undervalued AI stocks that may present better growth potential amid evolving market trends.
