This week, a significant trend in artificial intelligence (AI) funding emerged, with targeted investments aimed at specific industries. Loop, a logistics-focused AI platform, raised $95 million in a Series C funding round, led by Valor Equity Partners, to enhance its capabilities in optimizing supply chain finance by integrating various data sources.
In a parallel development, Wealth.com secured $65 million in an oversubscribed Series B round, which will bolster its estate and tax planning platform that currently serves advisory firms overseeing over $15 trillion in client assets. The platform is powered by Ester Intelligence, an AI engine that has processed over 100,000 estate documents in 2025 alone.
Meanwhile, American Express has moved to acquire Hyper, a company founded in 2022 known for its native AI technology that automates expense management tasks. This acquisition is set to close in the second quarter of 2026 and aims to expand Amex’s in-house AI capabilities ahead of the launch of a new expense management platform later this year.
