Inflection.io, a marketing automation company based in Seattle, has expanded its operations by acquiring Keyplay, a startup focused on aiding sales teams in targeting accounts. This strategic move brings together the leadership of Aaron Bird and Adam Schoenfeld, who have collaborated for over 15 years.
Schoenfeld will take on the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Inflection, while his co-founder Andrew Rothbart will contribute as a senior engineer. The acquisition aims to enhance Inflection's offerings, aligning with a shift in the market towards integrated platforms designed for artificial intelligence.
While financial details were not disclosed, Keyplay previously secured $3 million in seed funding last year. Inflection has raised approximately $14 million over time, including a recent $7.6 million round in June 2024. The merger results in a combined workforce of 47 employees, with operations spanning North America and an office in Bangalore, India.
Inflection's new office is located in Seattle’s Pioneer Square, where key executives and engineers are now based. Schoenfeld noted that the acquisition reflects an evolving market, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive platform that can adapt to the changing needs of B2B marketing.
