With a network of over 1,500 orange juice vending machines across Singapore, iJooz has established a significant presence in various locations, including MRT stations and shopping malls. The company, founded in 2016 by Bruce Zhang, has also made strides internationally, operating in 32 countries and serving over 100,000 cups of fresh juice daily.
Initially, Zhang aimed to launch a chain of fruit juice stalls but shifted to vending machines to overcome high rental costs in prime areas. His first machine was launched in June 2016 with an investment of nearly S$1 million. By utilizing customized Internet of Things (IoT) technology, iJooz machines enable real-time monitoring and remote management, streamlining operations and allowing a single serviceman to oversee multiple units.
This technological integration has not only reduced operational costs but also facilitated rapid expansion, with plans for further growth already in motion. Zhang’s strategic choice to focus on orange juice, perceived as a globally appealing beverage, has positioned iJooz favorably for future endeavors.
