This annual event, now in its 18th year, will take place on May 7 at the Showbox SoDo in Seattle, gathering hundreds to recognize achievements in technology.
Alpenglow Biosciences, established in 2018 as a spin-off from the University of Washington, focuses on creating advanced imaging tools for biological samples. Recently, it formed a partnership with PathNet to enhance the application of its 3D microscope technology in clinical environments. CEO Dr. Nick Reder leads the company, aiming to address challenges he faced during his medical residency.
Meanwhile, the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, a significant research entity managed by the U.S. Department of Energy for over 60 years, has contributed to various fields such as energy and data analytics. It boasts over 3,200 patents stemming from its research, and more than 210 companies trace their origins back to this institution. Voting for the Innovation of the Year award is open until April 10.
