Haermana Sivamohan has transformed her passion for pancakes into a unique dining venture called Construct KL, located in Kuala Lumpur. This initiative offers private dining experiences at her home, focusing on the art of pancake making and the connections fostered through food.
Originally from Wangsa Baiduri in Subang Jaya, Haermana's love for pancakes began in her childhood, inspired by infrequent family treats and vivid portrayals in American media. After a six-year tenure in the fintech sector, she realized that corporate life did not align with her aspirations, leading her to pursue a more fulfilling path centered around her culinary passion.
Construct KL emerged from her earlier cookie business, Little Dipper, as she sought to serve pancakes that emphasize quality and the dining experience. Each pancake is crafted to be enjoyed fresh and warm, paired with a blend of sauces and toppings that reflect her nostalgic memories. Haermana describes her creations as revelatory, emphasizing simplicity and thoughtfulness in their preparation.
