Arkero, a startup based in the Seattle region, has successfully secured $6 million in pre-seed funding to enhance operations for sports organizations through artificial intelligence. Founded by Shivaas Gulati, a co-founder of Remitly, along with two other former members of the digital remittance company, Arkero aims to streamline various operational tasks.
The company, which launched last fall, has already formed partnerships with several professional soccer teams, including the Seattle Sounders FC and San Diego FC. Its AI technology integrates with existing systems such as data warehouses and communication tools, allowing sports teams to make informed decisions that enhance revenue and efficiency.
Initial efforts will focus on matchday planning and season-ticket renewals. Gulati, who also owns a football club, emphasizes the need for technological innovation to address inefficiencies in sports management. Notably, the Sounders and Reign anticipate a projected 50% improvement in efficiency savings by 2026 through the implementation of Arkero’s AI solutions.
