Aetheon, a startup focused on connecting job seekers with relevant work opportunities, has successfully secured $1.24 million in seed funding. Established last year, the company aims to develop a “skills operating system” that assists particularly military veterans and recent graduates in translating their experiences into a format understandable by employers.
The platform addresses the challenges posed by AI-generated resumes by evaluating candidates' abilities through data from over 100 occupational sources. This approach results in verified profiles that users can maintain as they navigate their careers. Co-founder and CEO Marie Gill emphasized the company's commitment to becoming a reliable infrastructure for skills validation in the evolving job market.
With a focus on pre-revenue operations, Aetheon is currently engaging in paid pilot programs targeting veterans, educational institutions, and employers. The funding will be utilized to enhance beta launches, broaden partnerships, and strengthen their data intelligence framework. The founding team includes Gina Jeneroux and Mark Wayman, who bring extensive experience from their respective backgrounds in finance and entrepreneurship.
Investors in Aetheon comprise Blue Ash Ventures, a strategic investor from France, and two senior HR leaders based in Hong Kong.
