SageOx, a startup based in Seattle, has secured $15 million in seed funding to enhance its platform designed for collaboration between humans and AI coding agents. The funding round, which took place shortly after the company’s launch in January, was led by Canaan Partners alongside contributions from A.Capital, Pioneer Square Labs, and Founders’ Co-op.
The company aims to facilitate the sharing of knowledge among teams by capturing insights from discussions and coding sessions, thereby aiding new AI agents in maintaining alignment with ongoing projects. This innovative approach is expected to be vital as teams increase their operational speed significantly, sometimes by 20x to 40x, according to CEO Ajit Banerjee.
Planned uses for the new funds include advancing product development and making strategic hires, with a focus on leveraging AI technology in their operations. The founding team consists of experienced tech entrepreneurs, including Banerjee, who has held positions at Amazon, Facebook, and Apple, alongside Milkana Brace and Ryan Snodgrass, both of whom have notable backgrounds in technology and engineering.
Early adopters of the SageOx platform have reported positive experiences, highlighting its role in improving communication and decision-making within teams. This positions SageOx amidst a competitive landscape that includes major players like OpenAI and GitHub Copilot.
