TikTok Shop is set to enhance its merchant offerings with a range of AI-powered shopping tools aimed at increasing sales and product visibility. The platform's new features were revealed in a strategic move to attract more sellers and boost user engagement.
One notable tool, the AI Fashion Video Maker, allows merchants to generate shoppable videos easily by uploading product images. TikTok’s AI technology creates video clips with synchronized lip movements and voiceovers that mimic the sellers’ natural tones. This feature includes AI dubbing capabilities for script generation, streamlining video production for merchants in the menswear and womenswear sectors.
Alongside this, TikTok has launched the List with AI tool, which converts product specifications into detailed listings. This aims to enhance product discoverability on TikTok Shop by generating titles and descriptions automatically. Additionally, TikTok has integrated its GMV Max Ads into the campaign registration process and introduced a new CRM tool to improve communication with past buyers and potential customers.
Following a successful Black Friday, where it reported $100 million in U.S. sales, TikTok Shop continues to expand, achieving $19 billion in global sales last quarter, closely rivaling eBay's revenue.
