YouTube has introduced a new feature called Playables, enabling the creation of lightweight games on its platform. This innovation is powered by Gemini 3 and is accessible via a web app, allowing users without coding skills to design and share games directly with their audiences on YouTube.
The beta version of the Playables Builder currently offers a Trusted Tester Opt-In form for channel details, but is only available in select markets. Creators can use text, images, or videos to develop their game concepts, enhancing gameplay mechanics and visual styles easily.
As of now, YouTube showcases six examples of games made using this tool, including titles like SUGAR CUBE and XENO-RANCHER ENDLESS. Selected testers will receive unique login credentials that differ from their Google Accounts to access the platform.
