Players of Stardew Valley on the Nintendo Switch 2 can now access a free Upgrade Pack that enhances gameplay with new features and multiplayer options. The upgrade incorporates mouse controls for better inventory management and furniture placement, while also introducing local split-screen co-op for up to four players and online multiplayer support for up to eight.
Despite these improvements, some users have encountered bugs, particularly with the online multiplayer functionality and crafting recipes that have incorrect material requirements. Developer Eric Barone, known as ConcernedApe, acknowledged these issues and is committed to resolving them promptly. In a recent post, Barone expressed his commitment to rectify the mistakes identified by players.
In addition to addressing the current bugs, Barone and his team are simultaneously working on the anticipated 1.7 update for Stardew Valley, while development continues on another project, Haunted Chocolatier.
