A significant focus of the collective is the development of the OGC kernel, which consolidates multiple kernel patches into a single project. This kernel serves as a shared component for all member organizations, streamlining development processes. The collective has adopted an "upstream first" philosophy, ensuring that improvements made by OGC will be integrated back into original source projects rather than maintained as separate entities.
Additional contributions come from recognized "Strategic Partners & Core Contributors" such as ChimeraOS, Nobara Linux, Playtron, and Glorious Eggroll.
