Vince Zampella, a prominent figure in the gaming industry and co-creator of the Call of Duty franchise, has passed away at the age of 55 following a car accident on Sunday. The incident, which also claimed the life of another individual, occurred in Los Angeles, according to NBC4.
Zampella co-founded Infinity Ward, where he played a crucial role in launching the first installments of the Call of Duty series. In 2010, he established Respawn Entertainment, the studio responsible for titles such as Titanfall, Titanfall 2, and Apex Legends. His recent work involved leading DICE's Los Angeles studio and overseeing the Battlefield franchise, which recently released Battlefield 6.
