The upcoming release of WatchOS 27 is expected to feature a streamlined version of the Apple Watch Ultra's prominent modular watch face, as reported by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg. This new design will simplify the original layout by eliminating a central large complication and reducing the number of smaller complications surrounding the clock, focusing instead on a larger clock display with a few functional options beneath it.
As the tech community anticipates WWDC 2026, the spotlight is also on iOS 27, which will integrate a new AI-driven Siri powered by Google Gemini. Despite the excitement surrounding iOS, details regarding WatchOS remain scarce.
Before the launch of WatchOS 27, users will receive an update with WatchOS 26.5, introducing a new Pride Luminance watch face and an accompanying watch band, timed for Pride month in June. While updates to watch faces may not generate extensive enthusiasm, the modifications aim to enhance user experience across the standard Apple Watch lineup.
