The upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup will include an innovative drone show in Seattle, featuring a unique scoreboard that displays team flags and final scores. This spectacle aims to engage both locals and visitors during the six soccer matches hosted in the city. The drone display is scheduled for the evenings of June 15, June 19, June 24, June 26, July 1, and July 6, commencing at 10 p.m. or later.
Developed by Visit Seattle, the show consists of a coordinated aerial performance featuring 400 drones designed by Texas-based Sky Elements. The event is intended to provide an entertaining experience for those unable to attend the matches while promoting Seattle as a vibrant destination. Jorge Gotuzzo, who leads the World Cup activation for Visit Seattle, emphasized the goal of showcasing the city on an international stage.
Attendees can expect a 12-minute performance that includes captivating visuals such as a giant whale tail interacting with a soccer ball. This initiative reflects Seattle’s effort to stand out among competing cities like Boston, San Francisco, and Houston during the World Cup festivities.
