Microsoft has unveiled the Surface Laptop Ultra, designed to target power users with its advanced specifications. This 15-inch laptop features NVIDIA's RTX Spark system-on-a-chip, which includes 6,144 Blackwell GPU cores and 20 Arm CPU cores, promising impressive graphics and AI capabilities.
Weighing under 4.5 pounds, the device mirrors the MacBook Pro in its aesthetics and functionality, boasting a sleek design without unconventional features seen in prior models. The new machine is equipped with a 15-inch MiniLED Ultra screen capable of hitting up to 2,000 nits of peak HDR brightness, alongside a generous trackpad and multiple connectivity options such as USB A and C, HDMI, and a full-sized card reader.
While the Surface Laptop Ultra is set to launch this fall, Microsoft has not disclosed any pricing details. Corporate VP of Surface, Andrew Hill, emphasized the laptop's power during a briefing, calling it "the most powerful thing we've ever made." The product aims to compete directly with existing high-end laptops in the market.
