Motorola has recently removed the first-generation Moto Tag from its US website, indicating a potential shift towards the upcoming model. Although the original tracker can still be found through a direct link at a discounted price of $19.99, it is no longer prominently featured among the company’s accessories.
The expected release of the Moto Tag 2 remains uncertain, despite the model being available in other regions since its announcement nearly six months ago. Currently, US customers can only acquire it through third-party retailers and importers, as Motorola has yet to disclose a specific launch date for the domestic market.
While the second-generation device does not introduce dramatic changes, it offers significant enhancements, such as improved Android Find Hub tracking and an extended battery life of up to two years. This move could signal that Motorola is gearing up for the official introduction of the Moto Tag 2 in the United States.
