Flipper Devices has introduced a new gadget called Flipper One, designed to function as a Linux PC with advanced network capabilities including Wi-Fi 6E and 2x Gigabit Ethernet. The company has already sold over one million units of its popular device, the Flipper Zero, generating more than $150 million in sales. The Flipper One, however, is not a successor to the Flipper Zero, as it operates on a different technical layer.

Currently in development, Flipper One will feature dual processors, including an eight-core RK3576 chip capable of running open Linux and an NPU for local AI tasks. Additionally, it will support an M.2 port for 5G modems and other devices. The second chip, a two-core Raspberry Pi RP2350, manages the device's display and controls, allowing functionality even when the main Linux system is off.

CEO Pavel Zhovner indicated that the Flipper OS is in conceptual stages, aiming to simplify the user experience with preconfigured profiles for various software setups. The company is also collaborating with the open-source firm Collabora to ensure compatibility with the mainline Linux Kernel.
