In a thrilling FIFA World Cup match held in Seattle, Egypt and Belgium concluded their game with a score of 1-1. This event drew an impressive crowd of over 66,000 attendees to Lumen Field for the noon kickoff on Monday.
Later that evening, Seattle showcased a unique celebration of the match, unveiling what Visit Seattle describes as the first-ever drone scoreboard. The light display, featuring 400 drones, illuminated the night sky near the iconic Space Needle at 10:05 p.m., lasting for 2 minutes, 45 seconds.
Sky Elements, a drone show company based in Fort Worth, Texas, executed the aerial display, which is part of a series of events planned for future World Cup matches in the city. The next drone scoreboard is scheduled for Friday, featuring the USA against Australia, and the event will be free for the public.
Additional matches in Seattle include Qatar versus an undetermined opponent on June 24 and Egypt facing Iran on June 26, as part of the ongoing tournament.
