Apple has revised the trade-in values for various devices, offering customers increased discounts on upgrades. Users can now receive between $10 to $35 more when trading in their old devices, depending on the model and condition. This adjustment affects the trade-in values of the latest iPhone 16 models, with the base model's value increasing by $25 to $460.
The trade-in value for the iPhone 16 Pro Max, Pro, and Plus has also risen by $10, bringing their values to $695, $560, and $465 respectively. Other devices, including the iPad Pro and MacBook Air, have also seen increases of $20 and $35 respectively. However, not all devices benefited from this update; some, like the iMac and Apple Watch Series 10, have unchanged values, while the Apple Watch Ultra's trade-in value has decreased from $215 to $205.
Since its initiation in 2013, the trade-in program has provided users with options for recycling older devices. Apple encourages recycling for older models, such as the iPhone 5s, which no longer holds any trade-in value. Additionally, the company has also reduced trade-in values for some Android devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and Google Pixel 8 Pro.
