Akai has introduced refreshed versions of its MPC One sampler and MPC Key 37 workstation, enhancing their specifications significantly. The new models, available for $800 and $1,000 respectively, are designed for improved performance with upgraded 8-core processors, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage.
The enhancements allow for faster load times and greater project capacity, supporting up to 32 simultaneous virtual instruments and 16 stereo tracks in standalone mode, a notable increase from the previous limits of eight tracks. Both devices operate on Akai's latest MPC 3.9 operating system, featuring advanced production capabilities and a 7-inch multitouch display.
Additionally, they include a USB-C connection for audio capture from external devices and come with a variety of software, including free access to the Native Instruments Analog Dreams virtual instrument. As both companies are now under the same corporate umbrella, further Native Instruments content is anticipated.
