Vista AI, Inc. has successfully raised $29.5 million in Series B funding, with participation from prominent health systems such as Cedars-Sinai Health System, Intermountain Health, and Tampa General Hospital. This investment will further develop their automated MRI platform, addressing the shortage of MRI technologists by streamlining the scanning process.
The company’s FDA-cleared software aims to increase scan capacity while decreasing backlogs and wait times. With this funding, Vista AI is set to expand its services to include brain, prostate, and spine MRIs, which will enhance their platform's capabilities. Already, their technology has proven effective: Brigham and Women’s Hospital reported a 50% increase in cardiac MRI scan availability, eliminating a 28-day backlog.
In addition, at Radiology Regional in Southwest Florida, the automation has cut scan durations by over 50%, enabling technologists without prior cardiac MRI experience to conduct exams confidently. Health leaders emphasize the importance of this technology in elevating patient care standards.
