Nscale has successfully raised €1.7 billion (approximately $2 billion) in a Series C funding round, which will bolster its efforts to expand AI infrastructure globally. This initiative focuses on developing GPU compute, networking, data services, and orchestration software across key regions including Europe, North America, and Asia.
The funding round, which values Nscale at €12.6 billion (about $14.6 billion), was spearheaded by Aker ASA and 8090 Industries. Key investors also included notable firms such as Astra Capital Management, NVIDIA, and Lenovo. This new funding follows earlier financial moves by Nscale, including a €1.1 billion debt facility disclosed in February and €936 million in Series B funding achieved in September 2025.
CEO Josh Payne highlighted the transformative impact of AI across various sectors, predicting significant integration into industries and jobs over the next five years. Nscale aims to lead in the development of the necessary infrastructure for future advancements in AI, which Payne describes as part of “the largest infrastructure buildout in human history.”
Overall, Nscale's funding contributes to a broader trend in Europe, with approximately €1.88 billion invested in AI infrastructure and related technologies in recent rounds, showcasing a growing commitment to this sector.
