Starting today, Google introduces enhanced features for NotebookLM and Canvas in AI Mode, aimed at improving user engagement and creativity. The new Cinematic Video Overviews offer personalized video content, utilizing advanced technology to create immersive experiences that go beyond standard slide presentations.
NotebookLM now incorporates Gemini 3, Nano Banana Pro, and Veo 3 for producing detailed visuals and animations. This system acts as a “creative director,” optimizing narrative and visual elements to enhance storytelling. Additionally, users can access Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides directly from NotebookLM, streamlining workflow.
On the other hand, Canvas in AI Mode has expanded its capabilities to support tasks related to creative writing and coding, particularly for US English users. This feature allows individuals to draft documents and develop interactive tools directly within the Search interface, providing a convenient way to organize projects. Google has also made improvements to AI Mode recipe results, aiming to offer more relevant cooking information in the future.
