Safe Pro Group Inc. is launching its NODE-X, a compact AI-powered processor designed for military applications, specifically to analyze drone footage for threat detection. This system operates independently of connectivity, facilitating rapid identification of landmines and unexploded ordnance on the battlefield.
NODE-X has been trained using a vast dataset consisting of 2.6 million drone images and 47,000 confirmed threat detections from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. By converting drone imagery into actionable intelligence and detailed geospatial models, it enhances mission planning and situational awareness for various sectors, including defense and humanitarian efforts.
The product utilizes Safe Pro’s proprietary SPOTD technology, enabling features such as real-time AI inference and 3D mapping. It is packaged in a portable backpack kit compatible with Army-approved short-range reconnaissance drones. The company plans to test NODE-X in additional U.S. Army exercises until the second quarter of 2026, following a recent government contract that allows for scaling production.
Safe Pro Group aims to address critical needs in military operations, where timely threat assessment can save lives by minimizing delays in data transmission to command centers. This advancement not only boosts operational efficiency but also enhances soldier safety through quicker decision-making.
