Motive has introduced its latest product, the AI Dashcam Plus, aimed at enhancing safety in commercial fleets by detecting risks in real-time. The device integrates advanced AI technology with dual cameras and hands-free communication, leveraging the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ QCS6490 processor for superior processing capabilities. It can operate over 30 AI models simultaneously, boasting three times the power compared to other dash cams on the market.
The AI Dashcam Plus includes features such as a stereo vision system for improved depth perception, automated number plate recognition, and AI alerts for dangerous driving behaviors. These innovations are designed to help fleet operators respond swiftly to potential hazards, significantly improving safety. Motive's co-founder and CEO, Shoaib Makani, highlighted that the device's capabilities enable organizations to detect more risks effectively.
According to Motive, the implementation of their AI dash cams has contributed to the prevention of over 170,000 accidents and the saving of approximately 1,500 lives in North America since the beginning of 2023. An internal study indicated that fleets using this technology experienced an 80% reduction in collisions and a 63% decrease in costs associated with accidents.
