Infineon Technologies AG has launched the TDM24745T OptiMOS™ module, a quad-phase power module tailored for the demanding needs of AI data centers. This innovation, announced on 26 March 2026, integrates essential components within a compact package measuring 9 x 10 x 5 mm³, achieving a current density of over 2 A/mm².
The new module is designed to address the escalating power requirements of advanced AI applications, particularly for high-current multiprocessor platforms. With a peak current capability of up to 320 A, the TDM24745T is noted for its ability to streamline power architecture, enabling increased efficiency and reduced energy consumption. This is further enhanced by the innovative TLVR (trans-inductor voltage regulator) technology, which can lower the necessary output capacitance by as much as 50 percent.
According to Athar Zaidi, Senior Vice President at Infineon, the module’s design allows for improved compute performance and facilitates the deployment of next-generation AI data centers. By utilizing Infineon’s digital multiphase controllers, the TDM24745T supports flexible architectures that can adapt to the rapid advancements in AI technologies.
