Subscribers to Google's $20 per month AI Pro plan are set to receive an expanded cloud storage capacity, increasing from 2TB to 5TB without an additional fee. This change benefits users across various services, including Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos, and is also available in an annual option priced at $200.
The AI tool, Gemini, is enhancing its capabilities by integrating context from Gmail and online sources for Google Drive, Docs, Slides, and Sheets. It will offer features like summarizing Gmail inboxes and proofreading emails before sending. Furthermore, Gemini will assist users with tasks such as planning trips and completing forms through Chrome auto browse, as highlighted by Google VP Shimrit Ben-Yair.
In a further enhancement, Google is incorporating its Home Premium subscription into the AI Pro plan, a service that typically costs $10 monthly on its own. These new features and storage options are rolling out to both new and existing subscribers, with assurances from Ben-Yair that the updates are legitimate and not a prank.
