AI Inbox is now being rolled out to Gmail users on both Android and iOS, following its earlier introduction on the web. The feature aims to transform the email experience by prioritizing tasks over traditional messages, reflecting Google's vision for a future inbox. Users can find it in the navigation drawer below Inbox and prominently in the bottom bar, alongside Gmail and Chat.
Currently available in beta for Google AI Ultra subscribers, AI Inbox offers a familiar interface that includes a greeting summarizing the number of to-dos and topics. Users will see sections labeled “Suggested to-dos” and “Topics to catch up on.” Additionally, the “Help me write” feature has been enhanced to provide a more personalized touch when drafting emails, utilizing context from Google Drive and Gmail to streamline the writing process.
This update is accessible to various user tiers including Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers, as well as Business and Education users. It aims to simplify tasks such as responding to inquiries, sharing project updates, and collaborating more efficiently across applications.
