Google has introduced Gemini 3 Flash, a new AI model aimed at both consumers and developers, following the recent launch of Gemini 3 Pro. This model is designed to deliver enhanced performance with significantly improved speed and efficiency, while maintaining the complex reasoning and multimodal understanding features of its predecessor.
Gemini 3 Flash surpasses the previous 2.5 Flash model across various benchmarks, achieving notable scores such as 90.4% in GPQA Diamond for scientific knowledge and 49.4% in Toolathlon for real-world software tasks. The new model is also available at competitive prices of $0.50 per million input tokens and $3 per million output tokens, making it an economical choice for developers.
This model can support more intricate tasks, such as video analysis and data extraction, which are beneficial for third-party developers creating customer support solutions and interactive assistants. Gemini 3 Flash will be rolling out globally and will replace 2.5 Flash as the default model in the Gemini app, offering two modes: “Fast” for quick responses and “Thinking” for more complex challenges.
