A new feature has emerged for ChatGPT users, allowing them to generate personalized Christmas videos by sending a single emoji prompt. This functionality was teased by Sam Altman on X on December 20, 2025, with an emoji hint of 🎁.
When users send the 🎁 emoji, ChatGPT prompts them to upload or take a selfie, which is then sent to Sora, the video creation platform. The resulting video reflects past interactions but offers no customization options regarding aesthetics or content. Recipients will either receive a festive message about being "good" or "bad" this year.
Currently, users are limited to creating one video per session, as sending the 🎁 emoji again will yield the same output. The feature also appears to respond to other Christmas emojis, such as 🎅 and 🎄. Feedback from users has been encouraged in the comments.
