From March 13 to March 27, Anthropic is implementing a promotion that will enhance the usage limits for its AI chatbot, Claude, during off-peak hours. Users on Free, Pro, Max, and Team plans can take advantage of doubled limits within a five-hour window outside weekday hours from 8 AM to 2 PM ET. This automatic promotion requires no action from users to benefit.
The offer extends to all platforms where Claude is accessible, including mobile, desktop, and applications like Cowork, Claude Code, and Claude for Excel and PowerPoint. Unlike a previous event that limited benefits to Pro and Max subscribers, this initiative aims to include a broader user base, excluding only Enterprise users.
Anthropic describes this action as a gesture of appreciation towards Claude users. It coincides with the company’s ongoing challenges with the Department of Defense, after losing a contract due to its refusal to eliminate certain AI safeguards. This situation has shifted some users towards Claude and away from competitors like ChatGPT, which recently secured a contract with the Department of Defense.
