He described AI as a tool that will support creative minds in engineering careers focused on automation and sustainability. Sandhya Pentareddy, executive director of VIT Vellore, acknowledged the potential for job losses but emphasized the emergence of new opportunities as industries transform.
Samuel Rajkumar, director of the Career Development Centre at VIT Vellore, discussed the various engineering disciplines available at the institute and the corresponding job prospects. He urged students to develop a broad skill set to stay competitive, as AI integration into engineering is poised to enhance efficiency and drive innovation across sectors.
