During the upcoming MODEX 2026 event, a groundbreaking AI-powered parcel handling system will be showcased by CMES Robotics USA and Engineering Innovation (EII). Set to take place from April 13-16 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA, this innovative technology aims to transform efficiency in distribution centers by addressing a significant challenge in parcel processing.
The integrated system combines CMES Robotics' AI Vision piece picking technology with EII's Chameleon® Parcel Sorting System, allowing for the automated handling of parcels from gaylords onto conveyors. Live demonstrations at booth B15732 will highlight the system's ability to identify and grip parcels of various shapes, thereby streamlining the labor-intensive process traditionally reliant on manual operations.
Don Caddy, CEO of EII, noted that this collaboration introduces a new level of efficiency for customers by automating previously challenging tasks. Similarly, Alex Choe, President of CMES Robotics USA, emphasized the production-ready nature of the technology, which adapts to evolving logistics demands. This advancement is particularly crucial as e-commerce volumes continue to surge.
