YouTube has introduced a new feature called Your custom feed, allowing users to create personalized playlists through AI prompts. This capability enables viewers to tailor their content based on interests, hobbies, and daily activities.
The feature, which is currently being rolled out to signed-in users in the U.S., can be accessed on both mobile and desktop platforms. To utilize it, users need to tap on the Your custom feed option at the top of the homepage and enter a prompt detailing their desired playlist.
Examples provided by Google include requests for "15-minute HIIT workouts that don't need any equipment and zero jumping" and "deep-dive tech podcasts to learn more about using AI for work." Users can modify their prompts at any time to refresh the playlists generated.
This innovation follows Spotify's earlier release of a similar tool aimed at music and podcasts, highlighting the growing trend of AI-driven content curation.
