Scheduled for June 8, 2026, Apple’s WWDC26 event will unveil significant updates to its operating systems and introduce new AI features. Highlighting the occasion, Apple has launched a hashmoji campaign on X, allowing users to tag their posts with #WWDC26, which generates a unique visual element related to the event.
The design for this year’s hashmoji features a metallic look with a chromatic aberration effect, reflecting the anticipated aesthetic changes for Siri in iOS 27. This new feature became available shortly after Greg “Joz” Joswiak, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, teased the event on X.
In addition to social media engagement, Apple released a promotional video titled “Get ready for WWDC26” on YouTube, along with a playlist on Apple Music to enhance the event’s visibility. Major announcements are expected, including the integration of Google’s Gemini technology to enhance Siri’s capabilities.
