Spotify is expanding its innovative feature, Prompted Playlists, to more users, including those in the US and Canada. Initially launched in December for beta testers in New Zealand, this feature allows users to create customized playlists based on specific prompts.
By inputting a detailed prompt, users can receive playlists tailored to their immediate preferences, taking into account real-time music trends, historical listening data, and cultural influences. This functionality not only caters to current musical tastes but also reflects users' entire listening history since they joined Spotify.
The playlists can be adjusted and refreshed regularly, offering new music suggestions that may be harder to find through existing features. To try out Prompted Playlists, beta users in the US and Canada can access the Create section on Spotify and begin crafting their personalized playlists.
