In a recent radio interview, former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, expressed skepticism about claims made by former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai regarding hacking incidents involving National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu. Amaechi asserted that El-Rufai lacks the technical ability to conduct such activities, emphasizing that Ribadu's office itself is likely monitoring communications.
Amaechi further alleged that Ribadu is strategically positioning himself for the presidential election in 2031, while simultaneously orchestrating efforts to ensure the success of President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 election. He accused Ribadu of attempting to undermine the African Democratic Congress (ADC) by establishing a competing faction.
These statements were made during a phone-in segment on Eagles Radio, later disseminated on social media by ADC member Dele Momodu. Amaechi criticized Ribadu's actions, suggesting that he is preoccupied with political maneuvering instead of focusing on his responsibilities.
