Over half of surveyed companies, specifically 53%, have at least one Apple device operating with a critically outdated system, according to the recently released Jamf Security 360: Annual Trends Report on Mobile Devices. This finding underscores a significant vulnerability, as these devices carry unpatched and exploitable weaknesses.
Many of these issues stem from user behavior, such as delaying software updates or connecting to unsecured Wi-Fi networks. In fact, the report emphasizes that typical security incidents are not the result of sophisticated hacking but rather common user negligence.
Additionally, a critical vulnerability identified as CVE-2025-31200 poses risks where audio streams from malicious media files can lead to code execution without any user interaction. IT administrators are urged to enforce operating system updates through management platforms to mitigate these security threats.
Supported by Mosyle, a platform trusted by over 45,000 organizations for managing Apple devices, the need for efficient device management and timely updates is more crucial than ever for maintaining workplace security.
