The Xbox Full Screen Experience (FSE) aims to simplify PC gaming by providing a streamlined user interface. Despite the improvements, users on Windows 11 are still facing issues with window sizing, prompting Microsoft to investigate the glitches. Recent updates have indicated that some applications do not function as intended when using FSE, particularly those limited to specific sizes or that require additional windows.
Performance enhancements with FSE have been reported as minimal, according to tests conducted by Adam Conway, the Lead Technical Editor at XDA. Although the feature is designed to reduce background tasks and optimize performance, many users, including those using the ROG Xbox Ally X, have noted that the improvements are hardly noticeable. Microsoft has acknowledged the ongoing issues and is actively working to resolve them, keeping the known problem active in their update notes.
Initially available on the ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X, FSE is expected to expand to other handheld devices and PCs in the future. As the feature continues to evolve, users remain hopeful for further enhancements and stability improvements.
