Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will make its debut on the Switch 2, marking the franchise’s return to a Nintendo platform for the first time in over a decade. Set for release alongside versions for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC, this installment is developed by Infinity Ward in collaboration with Digital Legends.
This entry will not be available on previous-generation consoles, such as the PS4 and Xbox One, making it the first current-gen-only title in the series for this generation. The single-player campaign follows Private Park, a young soldier facing the realities of war as North Korea invades South Korea, while Captain Price returns in a new storyline involving a quest for a powerful weapon.
Multiplayer features are expected to attract many players, highlighting innovations in gunplay, movement, and combat dynamics. At launch, the game will include 12 core maps and will feature popular modes like Search and Destroy and Domination, alongside new gameplay options. More details about these elements will be released by Infinity Ward in the coming weeks.
