The much-anticipated animated adaptation of Among Us, inspired by the popular 2018 video game, has made its surprise debut with all ten episodes now available on Paramount+. This unveiling occurred during an emergency meeting called by the show's impressive cast at the Summer Game Fest.
Produced by Titmouse, the series features a diverse ensemble of actors including Yvette Nicole Brown, Kimiko Glenn, and Elijah Wood, among others. The plot revolves around crewmates on a spaceship, where one is secretly an imposter, and they must work together to identify who among them is the alien before it eliminates them.
Showrunner Owen Dennis discussed the challenges of casting for characters that, while visually similar, needed distinct vocal identities. He emphasized the importance of selecting talented actors capable of conveying emotion through voice alone, given the absence of visual cues like mouth movements. This careful selection aims to ensure clarity in character representation as the series progresses.
