GameSir is set to launch a new gaming controller featuring a compact steering wheel, integrating advanced technology typically associated with full-size steering mechanisms. Dubbed the Swift Drive, this controller aims to provide a unique experience for gamers by incorporating a "high precision" Hall Effect encoder for enhanced steering accuracy.
At the upcoming CES event, demonstrations showcased the controller's capabilities, including a steering range adjustable from 30 to 1080 degrees. Each joystick and button is equipped with Hall-effect sensors, while haptic motors in the triggers emulate sensations such as wheel slip and braking. The controller also features RGB lights that mimic in-game RPMs.
Users can expect a battery life of 20-30 hours per charge, and the device allows for customization with interchangeable steering wheel plates. Although GameSir has announced its intention to release the Swift Drive later this year, specific pricing details remain undisclosed.
